The Sky Blues remain unbeaten since their Youth Cup exit with a 2-2 draw against Leeds United...
Coventry City Under-18s were held at home at Leeds United in an exciting 2-2 draw.
The Sky Blues were looking to build on their impressive 2-0 win over Swansea City when Jordan Shipley and Courtney Baker-Richardson netted for City.
In search of back-to-back home wins, City were dealt a cruel blow when the away side scored a direct free-kick to give the Whites the advantage in the 14th minute.
City responded well though and were level shortly after the half-hour mark. Cian Harries was taken down in the area and Ivor Lawton, who is continuing his return from injury, dispatched the penalty to level the match going into half-time.
The Sky Blues dominated large portions of the second-half but went behind for the second time in the match when City failed to clear a right-sided cross and the Leeds striker squeezed the ball into the bottom corner.
The home side weren't to be denied though with a positive response to going behind and this brought City level seven minutes later with a wonderful flowing move.
George Thomas and James Maddison combined on the edge of the area to put Jason Albini in on goal and his powerful effort left the Leeds keeper no chance to level the tie.
City kept pushing for the winner but were unable to find a way through which means City remain unbeaten since their disappointing loss to Crewe Alexandra in the FA Youth Cup.
