City make defender Danny Seaborne the second acquisition on loan deadline day
Coventry City have signed Yeovil Town defender Danny Seaborne on an emergency loan deal until January.
The 26-year-old, who has made 11 appearances in the Championship for the Glovers this season, will remain with the Sky Blues up to and including Sunday, January 5th.
Seaborne's professional career saw him rise through the ranks at Exeter City where he was part of the side that won back-to-back promotions from the Conference to League One between 2007 and 2009.
The Barnstaple-born centre-half secured a move to Southampton six months into Exeter's League One campaign, again joining a side that secured back-to-back promotions and Saints’ return to the top flight in 2012.
Seaborne joined newly-promoted Championship side Yeovil this summer and City boss Steven Pressley is pleased to have secured his services.
He said: "Danny has the ability to be a strong and imposing figure in the heart of the back four and I'm delighted we've been able to bring a player of his calibre to the club.
"We tried to bring him in in the summer but circumstances and the offer of Championship football meant we couldn't quite get a deal done however I'm delighted we now have him on board.
"Our players have been working exceptionally hard this season but because of the relatively small depth to our squad the players will certainly welcome his addition and experience."
