The on-field goalscoring competition between Callum Wilson and Leon Clarke has now spilled off the pitch after Clarke pipped Wilson to the October Player of the Month award by just one vote!Wilson got his nose back in front in the scoring charts on Friday night with his 12th goal of the season in City's 3-1 FA Cup first round win over AFC Wimbledon but it was Clarke's four goals in an unbeaten October that has seen the Sky Blue Army make him their pick of the month.
Clarke netted goals in the wins away at Stevenage and home to Leyton Orient as well as a brace in the home win over Sheffield United.
His one-vote win in October's vote means only decimal places of a percent seperated him from Wilson, both of them taking 22% of the vote with midfielder John Fleck close behind with 20%.
