Coventry City Under-21s were defeated by Sheffield United despite a goal from Norwich loanee Jamar Loza.

In a young City side, Aaron Phillips, who made a late substitute appearance in the 3-3 draw at Bradford City, captained the side.

Billy Daniels continued his recovery from a hernia procedure with a start in central midfield, having been on the bench against the Bantams.

Despite a strong first-half performance, the Blades went ahead through a Harry Bunn goal and went in ahead at the break.

The home side doubled their lead through Joe Ironside during the second half to seal the points for Sheffield United.

City continued to press and were rewarded when Daniels found George Thomas on the left who squared for Loza to finish.

Despite the goal, the young City side were unable to rescue a point in what was a positive performance.
