Sky Blues striker could be out for the Sky Blues' midweek clash with the Millers at Sixfields
Sky Blues boss Steven Pressley has revealed that striker Leon Clarke is a major doubt ahead of Tuesday night's home clash with Rotherham United.
The club joint-top scorer, with 12 goals, will have a hip and thigh problem assessed ahead of the visit of the Millers at Sixfields but Pressley has said that he has had to look at other options incase Clarke is unavailable.
"Leon's a major, major doubt for tomorrow night because he has a slight problem with his hip and his thigh just now," Pressley said.
"He nearly came off in the latter part of Saturday's game but saw it through but since then it's become a bit of a problem.
"We're obviously looking to bring in a couple of players to strengthen but we're not realistically looking at that for tomorrow night so we've been looking at other options.
"We've looked at the potential of the likes of Billy Daniels because he's played a natural number ten role in the past and Franck Moussa has also played up ther so they are considerations for tomorrow night."
Pressley added that midfielder Adam Barton would be a definite absentee for Tuesday night after picking up a knee injury early on in Saturday's 5-1 home defeat to Tranmere.
