City wrap up loan deadline day business with the acquisition of Scottish international Chris Maguire
Coventry City have signed Scottish international Chris Maguire on an emergency loan deal until January from Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.
The 24-year-old attacking player, who can player either as a striker or winger, will remain with the Sky Blues up to and including Sunday, January 5th.
Maguire's professional career saw him progress through Scottish SPL side Aberdeen's youth system where he went on to amass 70 appearances and 16 goals.
He also spent spells at Kilmarnock, Derby County and Portsmouth before moving to Hillsborough in the summer of 2012.
Maguire earned his first full Scottish international cap in February 2011 having already represented the national side at Under 16, Under 19 and Under 21 level.
City boss Steven Pressley said: "Chris is a really exciting, versatile player and I'm looking forward to working with him.
"He's got a great set piece delivery, he's quick and he can play both out wide or as a striker so he's a player that brings good versatility and that is important within our tight group."
