City boss Steven Pressley has also revealed there was a sickness bug in the City camp this week...
Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has confirmed Adam Barton will come in to replace the suspended Conor Thomas.
The Sky Blues face Tranmere Rovers at Sixfields tomorrow, with Ronnie Moore's side currently on a four-match unbeaten run.
Thomas, who has been ever-present in the City side this season and recently signed a new deal at the club, picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the 3-3 draw at Bradford which means he will serve a one-game suspension.
The City boss has a 'great deal of confidence' in Barton's ability and confirmed a clean bill of health despite a sickness bug which went round the City camp earlier in the week.
Pressley said: "We have had to keep on top of a bug which has gone round this week. We would love to get the flu jabs in as soon as possible but it is just about finding the time to fit it in as they can put you out of action for a few days.
"We are entering into a really crucial period so we are looking to get that done in the next couple of weeks. Andy (Webster) and John (Fleck) had a slight virus so it must be because the Scots are weak.
"I keep telling everyone that the Scots are tough but I must be wrong!
"We're ok in regards to other injuries. Adam (Barton) will come in for Conor who is suspended and he has had a really good week's training. It was unfortunate that he was left out last week but he will get another chance at the weekend."
