Sky Blues in the Community are offering a number of free football coaching courses...

Sky Blues in the Community will be arranging a number of free football coaching courses (subject to qualifying criteria) over the next few months, offering grassroots coaches from Coventry City FC ‘partner clubs’ the opportunity to continue their journey on the coaching pathway.

SBitC are able to offer this unique opportunity with funding support from the Sport England Small Grant Scheme – and CCFC ‘Partner Clubs’ will be getting first refusal on the places for these courses.

To kick start our Coach Development Scheme, we have 15 places available on an FA Level 1 course running in June, which will be delivered in partnership with Birmingham County FA (details below). The full range of courses we are offering to coaches at your club are:

1. F.A Level 1 Course (including safeguarding course and first aid)

Venue: Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre, Coventry
Dates: Time:
Sat 15th June 9.00am-5.30pm
Sun 16th June 9.00am-5.30pm
Wed 18th June 6.30pm-9.30pm (F.A safeguarding children workshop)
Thurs 19th June 6.30pm-9.30pm (F.A Emergency  first aid)
Sun 23rd June 9.00am-5.30pm

2. FA Safeguarding Workshop (additional 15 places to FA Level 1 course)

Venue: Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre, Coventry
Date: Wed 18th June
Time: 6.30pm-9.30pm
3. FA Emergency First Aid Course (additional 15 places to FA Level 1 course)

Venue: Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre, Coventry
Date: Wed 19th June
Time: 6.30pm-9.30pm
4. FA Youth Module 1 course:

Venue: Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre, Coventry
Date: 29th /30th June and 6th/7th July 2013
Time: 9.00am-5.30pm

5. F.A  Youth module 2 (15 places)

Venue: T.B.C
Date: Aug/sept Time: T.B.C 

6. FA Level 2 Course (8 places subject to availability)

Venue: Moat House Leisure Centre
Date: Monday 23rd Sept to Friday 27th Sept 2013
Times: 9am - 6pm

1. Club welfare Officer Workshop (5 places subject to availability)
Venue: BCFA, Ray Hall Lane, Great Barr, Birmingham
Date: 16th July, 2013
Time: 6.30-9.30pm

2. Coaching Disabled Footballers (5 places subject to availability)
Venue: George Salter High School, Birmingham, B70 9UW
Date: 4th August, 2013
Time: 9.30-4.30pm
