Homeless charity joins Fun Run

30 May 2013

Local charity Coventry Cyrenians joins the ranks of this year's Coventry Fun Run

A team of runners from a local charity, who are this year celebrating their 40th anniversary, are taking part in the Coventry Fun Run to raise money for Coventry Cyrenians.

Cyrenians is a Coventry and Warwickshire based homelessness charity, believing everyone deserves a place to call home and the right to a new start.  Every year, they support over 1000 people to change their lives, including adults, young people (16-24) rough sleepers and veterans.

The team is made up of staff and volunteers, their friends and families.  The money they raise will ensure more homeless and vulnerable in Coventry and Warwickshire get the support they need to change their lives.

If you would like to know more information about Cyrenians, you can visit them in the Charity Village on the day of the fun run or visit  www.coventrycyrenians.co.uk.

To sign up to run for a local charity or good cause, please visit www.coventryfunrun.co.uk. Entry fee is £7 and £5 for under-15s, but you can get £1 off the fee when you enter using the discount code ‘FUNRUNNER’.

Don’t forget CCFC will also be there on the day in the charity village with fun and games for the whole family so make sure you come and visit us too!
