Coventry City give Coventry Fun Run full backing at launch event...
On Monday evening, CCFC attended the 2013 Coventry Fun Run Launch Event in the Lord Mayor’s Hospitality Suites at the Council House.
Steve Waggott, Development Director, was in attendance to support the launch along with Cyrus Christie, Jordan Clarke and Sky Blue Sam.
The event saw Trevor Binch from the Three Spires Round Table deliver a presentation to charities and potential sponsors about the annual fun run this year, of which he talked about the successes of last year and the objectives for 2013.
Last year the fun run raised over £35,000 for local charities and causes but now aims to raise, with the support of CCFC, over £50,000 this year and increase the number of runners to over 2,500.
The fun run is a great day out for all the family and a chance to exercise to get fit and to stay healthy. There will be plenty to do after the run in the Charity Village where there will be music, entertainment acts, and a whole host of sporting activities! CCFC will be providing a ‘Beat the Goalie’ competition and Sky Blues in the Community will be there with their inflatable power shot!
