City deeply saddened by loss

Coventry City is sad to announce the tragic loss of one of it's dearest members

Coventry City Football Club are deeply saddened to announce the tragic loss of one of the most important and dearly loved members of its Sky Blue Family.

Michelle Ridley, who was our head receptionist and match day administrator, sadly passed away last week.

Michelle was the club's popular ambassador to thousands of Sky Blue supporters over the past 25 years, both at Highfield Road and the Ricoh Arena.

Suffice to say she was not only one of the longest serving, but one of the most dedicated members of staff at Coventry City over the last quarter of a century.

Michelle was a Sky Blue treasure who will never be forgotten and our heartfelt condolences go to all of her family and friends at this very sad and distressing time.

Today’s match will see the players wearing black armbands as a mark of respect for Michelle and we will also hold a minute’s applause before kick off to commemorate Michelle, who will never be forgotten by CCFC.
