Arrive early for the Preston JPT clash

9 January 2013

Fans advised to arrive early at the Ricoh Arena to avoid expected queues....

Coventry City fans are being advised to leave plenty of time to get into Thursday night’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie with Preston North End.

The Northern Area semi-final will kick-off at 7.45pm and supporters are advised that there may be queues at the turnstiles.

Tickets are available to buy now via the website at www.ccfcshop.co.uk, from the club shop at the Ricoh Arena or from Hannigans in the city centre.

They are priced at £5 for everybody and will also be available on the gate on the night of the game.

The club plan to close the North Stand (with the East Stand and Lloydspharmacy Stand open for home fans) and are advising supporters to get to the game as soon as they can.

Ticketing manager Dan Walker said: “We had more than 10,000 fans here for the last round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy against Sheffield United and we are expecting the Sky Blue Army to be out in full force again.

“The football for a fiver offer has worked really well and with all of the Coventry fans together in one stand in the last round, it helped to generate a really good atmosphere.

“It would be great to have the same kind of atmosphere again but I would urge fans to leave plenty of time to arrive and get to their seats because there could be a very strong walk-up on the night.”
