City 'keeper subbed at half time in defeat to Crewe with hamstring injury

Coventry City goalkeeper Joe Murphy faces a race to be fit for the weekend after being subbed at half time in the 3-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at home to Crewe Alexandra with a hamstring injury.

Murphy was replaced at half-time by Sky Blues number two Chris Dunn and Cit  boss Mark Robins said his starting shot stopper would need to be assessed in the morning to discover the severity of the injury.

"It was obviously serious enough for Joe to feel he couldn't come out in the second half but it's not fair to look at Chris for the goals we conceded. He made some good saves but unfortunately we were naive in our play in the second half and we got punished for it," Robins said.

"We look at Joe in the morning to see the extent of the injury but obviously we have to look at his chances of being fit for the weekend."
