Ball brace helps Under 21s to win

Ball double and Barton strike overturn early starters Barnsley in the PDL

Coventry City Under 21s overturned a two-goal deficit to beat Barnsley at the Alan Higgs Centre in the Professional Development League on Monday afternoon.

Rhys Oates got the Tykes offf to a flyer with the opener after 9 minutes and a second on 21 minutes.

City striker Callum Ball continued his good form in front of goal for the development squad by getting one back on the strole of half time.

Adam Barton then equalised for the Sky Blues three minutes after the restart with Ball grabbing the winner two minutes before the hour.

Midfielder David Bell got another hour under his belt as he works towards match fitness with recent signing Danny Philliskirk playing the full 90.
