Sky Blues' development squad kick off new season with narrow defeat to Sheffield Wednesday
Coventry City's development squad kicked off the Professional Development League campaign with a narrow 3-2 defeat away to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Monday afternoon.Striker Mathieu Manset was on target for the Sky Blues from the penalty spot after five minutes but the hosts levelled a minute later.
It was all square at the break but City got their noses in front seven minutes after the restart courtesy of Lewis Rankin to make it 2-1 but the Owls again levelled just a minute later before nabbing a winner four minutes after the hour.
