Coventry City Under-18s lost 3-1 in their opening fixture at Huddersfield Town in the Professional Development League North Two.
The Academy side have enjoyed a great summer with several players, such as Ryan Quinn, Ivor Lawton and Luke Bromley, making pre-season appearances with the first team.
The Terriers netted two goals before the break but Quinn scored in the second half to get the Sky Blues back in the game. The home side added a third as City look towards their first home game against Derby County next week.
