Coventry City manager Steven Pressley hopes to boost his squad soon...

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley hopes to bring in two players soon as he prepares his side to face Leyton Orient in the Capital One Cup.

The club are currently under a transfer embargo, meaning Pressley hasn't been able to add to his squad throughout the summer.

Having seen his young side lose the opening game of the season at Crawley Town, the City boss hopes to boost his ranks soon.

Pressley said: "In terms of adding to the squad, I am away to speak to Steve Waggott (Development Director) very shortly on the matter.

"But I believe that we maybe able to bring two players in. After that, it might be a one-in, one-out basis.

"That is certainly where the early signs are and that would be really positive to get some new bodies in."

The Sky Blues go in search of their first win of the season at the Matchroom Stadium tonight as City face Leyton Orient.

Orient won 5-1 at Carlisle United at the weekend and Pressley knows City will have to be at their best to progress in the Capital One Cup.

He added: "The League Cup is up there in my priorities like every other game. Regardless of the competition, we want to win every game.

"We are going to go there in determined fashion and I think cup competitions can enhance reputations. We want to have a real go at the this competition as I think it will give a real boost to the club.

"I've watched the footage of them from the weekend and it is evident they will ask questions of us from start to finish.

"They have had a good start to the season but I think if we improve our play in defence and get a better start from the one we had at the weekend, I think we have a real chance."
