Remember when Haynes did this?

9 April 2013

Saturday's full debut for the youngster hasn't been his only memorable moment this season

Young full-back Ryan Haynes may have pulled on a first team jersey for the first time in Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Brentford but it's not the first time he's had his name in lights this season.

The 17-year-old left back played the full 90 minutes in the stalemate with the Bees at the Ricoh Arena but those of you regular visitors to will already know about the Northampton-born defender who scooped the club's official Goal of the Month award sponsored by Coventry Building Society way back in September!

Haynes' free-kick for the Under 21S in their home win over Sheffield Wednesday was enough to scoop the prize but, because of his age, the regular champagne cherry was quickly swapped for a non-alcoholic elderflower and cranberry spritzer!
