Have you signed up to the Coventry Fun Run yet? Get involved City fans...
Have you signed up to the Coventry Fun Run yet? We are encouraging as many Sky Blues fans to take part either for fun, or to raise funds for a charity or good cause.
One group already signed up is the Tweedie family, who have been Season Ticket holders for a number of years. They are raising money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital on behalf of 3 year old daughter Casey, who has had Open Heart Surgery at the Hospital.
“We have never taken part before; five of us have signed up because we knew Coventry City Football Club are involved and thought it would be nice to show our support” said Louise, Casey’s Mum.
“I would highly recommend people take part in the Fun Run. It’s a day of fun, as well as raising money for good causes.”
CCFC, along with Sky Blue Sam, will be in the Charity Village on Sunday 9th June hosting a number of activities, which will delight Casey.
“To us Sky Blue Sam is just someone dressed up in an outfit, but to Casey he is real and is her hero” said Louise. “Sky Blue Sam is Casey’s life; she has to have a cuddle and a high five at every home game! Casey loves him to bits and I can honestly say she is a dedicated number 1 fan; as poorly as she is, she still has to go and see him.”
You can sign up for the Coventry Fun by visiting www.coventryfunrun.co.uk. Entry fee is £7 and £5 for under 15’s, but you can get £1 off the fee when you enter using the discount code ‘FUNRUNNER’.
