Coventry City are through to the next round of the Johnstone Paint Trophy after winning an incredible penalty-shoot out.
After a goalless 90 minutes, the game was decided on penalties when Joe Murphy scored the winning penalty to make it 10-9 to City in the shoot-out.
As a statement of intent from Caretaker boss Richard Shaw, he named just four changes from his starting line-up who had lost at Crewe.
It was Coventry's first match in the Johnstone Paint Trophy in the club's history and City started well when in the 2nd minute, Cody McDonald was able to evade the challenge of Aaron Webster but he could only fire straight at Atkins from a tight angle.

Fresh from that success, Albion showed how confident they were early on with Billy Kee and Cleveland Taylor looking particulary threatening. It was the latter who had Burton's first chance when Taylor was able to turn inside Chris Hussey and fire wide from just outside the area.
Billy Kee had a snapshot soon after in the 13th minute but City began to control much of the play in the first half.
Despite controlling the midfield, Coventry struggled to turn their possession into many chances to score. The best chance of the half came through Carl Baker when he headed Gary McSheffrey's cross at goal but Ross Atkins brilliantly saved when Baker looked destined to score.
A rather low-key performance from City in the first-half was improved upon in the second by City.
The introduction of Stephen Elliott for Cody McDonald had the desired effect as Elliott supplied Baker down the right who fired a fierce effort at the keeper, but it was well saved.
Billy Kee had a good effort for Burton Albion when he flicked the ball onto the post from Taylor's cross but that was as good as it got in the second half for the away side.
Coventry dominated throughout as new signing McGoldrick looked to cap off his impressive performance with a goal in the 59th minute but his long range effort was parried away by subsititute keeper Dean Lyness.
With 20 minutes remaining, it was Gary McSheffrey's turn to try and break the deadlock as Burton's defence were unable to clear their lines so the City midfielder half-volleyed towards goal but it was blocked on the line.
Stephen Elliott continued to impress since his inclusion and he had a great chance to put City ahead in the 74th minute. The Irish striker was slid through by McSheffrey and after running at goal, his goalbound effort was brilliantly saved by Lyness.
Baker and Billy Daniels had half-chances in the second-half but Burton remained resolute throughout as the game had to be decided by penalties.
After an incredible 18 successful penalties in a row and three saved penalties, it was up to the keeper Joe Murphy to seal the win and he put it straight down the middle to send City through.
