Subway becomes the official healthy sandwich supplier to the Sky Blues
There was a six foot Sub at the Sky Blues training ground recently – but it won’t be occupying the bench on matchday!
Coventry City Football Club has agreed a partnership with international but locally run sandwich brand Subway the company will supply a range of low fat Subs to the club’s first team, under-18s and under-21s post-match.
City fans will also benefit from the tie-in as they will receive a free bottle of water whenever they purchase from the Subway cold range if they show their Season Ticket or matchday ticket stubs.
The first 1,000 people to purchase the club’s award-winning matchday programme at the match against Carlisle also received a voucher booklet and a Subway cookie.
Tynan Scope, corporate sales manager for Coventry City Football Club, said: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Subway.
“Their low-fat Subs formed part of a campaign in the run-up to the greatest summer of sport which saw their impressive line-up of elite athletes promoting the sandwiches from their low-fat range.
“This deal is great news for the club and our supporters will benefit too.”
Daljit Nahil, from Subway, said: “We are delighted to partner with Coventry City Football Club as it enables us to encourage people to lead a more active lifestyle whether you are on or off the pitch.”
