Satisfied with the performance - Robins

Mark Robins happy with the three points against the O's...

Coventry City boss Mark Robins said he was satisfied with the progress his side showed after they took all the points away from their trip to Leyton Orient.

David McGoldrick scored the only goal of the game at the Matchroom Stadium to arrest a recent run of two successive defeats and claim City's second away away win of the season.

Robins said that, while there was still plenty of room for improvement, he was pleased with his side's endeavour and determination to hold on to the points.

"We were a little bit better today," Robins said. "I'd still like us to be on the front foot more and get tighter to our opposition and there's loads of little things and areas where we need to be better.

"I'm satisfied with the progress because the lads have worked hard this week and they've stuck to the task so the three points are most welcome.

The Sky Blues can now look forward to a week with no Wednesday or Tuesday night fixture and Robins added that he would use the time to keep his side working on the smaller elements he referred to after the win over the O's.

"We will obviously keep doing the same types of things next week but a win puts a totally different spin, a different complexion on things.

"We still have the same frailties we had before but confidence will help remove that and when our confidence hits that's when we will go on to win a game by four or five.

"It's just about putting those building blocks in place and today certainly helped."
