City midfielder comes off the bench in Under 19s Euro defeat to Sweden
Coventry City midfielder Will Roberts came off the bench for the Wales Under 19s as they got their European Championship campaign underway with a 3-1 defeat to Sweden.
Roberts, who made his Sky Blues league first team debut in their final game of the 2011/12 season away to Southampton, played the final 13 minutes of the clash with the Scandinavians at the ŠRC Bakovci Stadium in host nation Slovenia.
Wales took the lead with an 11th minute penalty from Thomas Lawrence but Johan Hammar equalised after 22 minutes for Sweden who then took the lead three minutes before the break through Muamer Tankovic.
David Moberg-Karlsson added a third for the Swedes three minutes after the break.
Wales Under 19's next fixture sees them take on Slovenia on Friday, October 12.
