New physio joins City

Sky Blues welcome former physio Dave Hart back to the Ricoh Arena

Coventry City manager Mark Robins has moved to strengthen his backroom team as part of a restructuring programme.

The Sky Blues have appointed Dave Hart as the new head physiotherapist after the departure of Damien Delahunty.

Hart was previously with the Sky Blues in a support role but later moved to Watford and Robins is delighted that he has returned to the club, along with a new assistant physiotherapist.

He said: “Dave has got very good knowledge and also has first class qualifications to back that up. He has also got a good knowledge of football and players, which is vital at this level of the game.

“He had been at the club previously and will know one or two of the lads already and it is good to be able to bring him back after Damien decided to leave.

“Watford had an excellent record with injuries last season and it’s vitally important to any club that you have as many of your players fit and firing as you can at any one time.

“He also brings in an assistant physio and that is a key appointment too because it means there is an extra support for the players, for example, when they are going for outside medical assessments.”
