Club saddened by intern death

Coventry City Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of former intern Kris Ledgard

Coventry City Football Club are extremely saddened to learn of the sudden passing of former club intern Kris Ledgard.

Kris, from Milton Keynes, recently spent a 12-week internship at the club's Ryton training ground, but died on Thursday, October 4, aged 22.

Working out of the High Performance Centre at Hertfordshire University, he also did intern work for Ampthill Rugby Club, as well as work with Leicester Riders Basketball and Loughborough University Riders Men's and Women's basketball clubs through Loughborough College.



Coventry City head physiotherapist Damien Delahunty, who worked closely with Kris, said: "Kris was a great lad to have about the place, extremely popular with both the players and staff and I personally enjoyed working with him very much.

"He was always keen to help and look for work which would further his skills. He was a great help to me and we are all shocked and deeply saddened at the news of his death and our thoughts and wishes are with his family and loved ones." 

Coventry City Football Club would like to pass on its sincerest condolences to Kris' family at this very distressing time and let them know they are in our thoughts.
