Sky Blues pair to attend grand opening of brand new sports store on Arena Park

Two Sky Blues stars are popping next door to say bonjour to their new neighbours today (Wednesday, October 17)!

David Bell and William Edjenguele will be on hand to meet City fans and customers at the grand opening of sports store Decathlon, which has its origins in France, at Arena Park in Coventry, next to the Ricoh Arena, between 5pm and 7pm.

They will be joined at the store’s opening night celebration by former sprinter Katherine Merry and former swimmer Steve Parry, who won bronze medals at the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympic Games, respectively.

This will be followed by Mark Robins’ first public appearance as City manager between 11am and 12noon at the Discover Decathlon Day on Saturday (October 20), where customers can try ten sports for free.

Tynan Scope, corporate sales manager at Coventry City, said: “We are delighted to welcome our new neighbours to the city and thought what better way to do so then for our players and manager to meet them and their customers.”
