Sky Blues pick up a point after goalless draw at Sheffield United

Coventry City Under 21s were held to a goalless draw against Sheffield United at Shirecliffe on Monday afternoon.

The Sky Blues' development squad, coming off the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Leeds United, produced a series of chances to record a second win in three games only to be denied by an assured performance by the home defence.

The Blades also had chances of their own to get on the scoresheet but were unable to breach a relatively experienced back line which included goalkeeper Chris Dunn, full-back Chris Hussey and central defender Reece Brown.

City now have a break from Professional Development League football until next Tuesday (November 13) when they take on Birmingham City at the Ricoh Arena.

Coventry City: Dunn, Phillips, Hussey, Brown, J Henderson, Willis, Roberts, Lobjoit (Lawton 81), Jeffers, Daniels (Finch 77), Baker-Richardson
Subs: Garner, Rankin, Maund
