Young Sky Blues fans clinical from the penalty spot to raise £200 for charity
Five young sharp-shooters, stadium announcer DJ John Dalziel and the club have bolstered Children in Need’s coffers by £200.
Pudsey Bear was a special guest at the Ricoh Arena for City’s 3-1 win over Crawley on Tuesday night and took part in a special penalty shoot-out during half-time.
He faced five penalties from young Coventry City fans and for each goal scored, the club donated £20 to Children in Need.
For the fifth and final penalty, John Dalziel promised to double the money if the kick was scored.
The young City fan stepped up and fired the spot-kick home to the delight of the crowd and the charity.
Stacie McDermott, of Coventry City, said: “It was a fantastic gesture from JD and a great effort from all the children to help raise money for a great cause.”
