'We will battle and scrap'

Robins expected scrappy and tough battle when Preston visit the Ricoh Arena

City boss Mark Robins says he knows what to expect from Preston North End when they visit the Ricoh Arena this Saturday.

The Sky Blues are currently in the middle of a run of form that has seen them win four out of their last five games in League One.

Robins said though that he is not getting carried away with the run that has taken City to within seven points of the play-off places, preferring to concentrate on where the next three points are coming from starting with the clash with the Lilywhites at the weekend.

"We know what to expect from Preston. They will battle, they will scrap and they will make things difficult for us, we know that," he said.

"What we need to do is make sure we stay focused, we concentrate and we earn the right to play our football.

"Graham Westley has changed his side around the last couple of games so we will wait and see what he does for Saturday but no matter who plays on Saturday we know what we are going to get against Preston.

"I'm expecting a stop-start encounter at times but like I said before we have to counter that by earning the right to play our way.

"It's another chance for us to try and get three points so that will be at the forefront of our minds."
