'I'm loving it here' - Bailey

22 December 2012

City's on-loan midfielder couldn't be happier with his spell with the Sky Blues

Coventry City's on-loan midfielder James Bailey said he is loving his time with the club not long after opening his scoring account in the 1-1 home draw with Preston.

Bailey, on loan from Derby County, netted the opener after 21 minutes only for Preston's Lee Holmes to grab a second half equaliser which Bailey said left him and his teammates gutted.

"We're disappointed to pick up a point but on the positive side we're still unbeaten," he said.

"We need to win more at home and we let off Preston a bit in the second half but we needed to pressure a bit more. But we will look at it in training and look forward to Wednesday (away at Stevenage) where we can hopefully pick three points up.

Bailey joked that he was less than pleased with teammate David McGoldrick who denied him the opportunity to celebrate his first goal in a City shirt but added that he couldn't be happier with his spell with the Sky Blues.

"I'm not really used to scoring goals. I didn't know what to do at first but then I wanted to celebrate and Dids just grabbed me so I was furious.

"I'me absolutely loving my time here though. The lads are great, the gaffer believes in me, the fans are behind me and I'm just enjoying my football at the minute."
