The Sky Blues have fallen to a 3-0 defeat to Norwich City at Carrow Road.

It was the hosts that carved out the first chance of the game, coming from Aaron Ramsey’s neat one-two with Todd Cantwell before firing wide of the mark.

Moments after and it was the Sky Blues’ turn to ask the same question, with Tyler Walker’s header narrowly glancing past the post from Jake Bidwell’s cross.

But when the game’s next chance came calling, the hosts capitalised, dispossessing the Sky Blues in the middle of the park and unleashing Teemu Pukki who finished into the bottom corner.

Walker’s second effort of the game proved to be City’s best of the half, but his ferocious effort flashed across the face of goal and out for a goal-kick.

Gustavo Hamer’s charge forward was matched by the run of Fankaty Dabo, who earned a corner for the Sky Blues where Kyle McFadzean’s volley met the back of the net- only to be ruled out for an offside call. 

The Canaries doubled their lead on the cusp of half-time with Josh Sargent sweeping the ball home off the back of a quick break.

HALF-TIME: Norwich City 2-0 Sky Blues 

A quick break of the Sky Blues' own immediately after the restart saw substitute Viktor Gyökeres bearing down on goal, but the Swede’s effort was denied by Tim Krul.

Seconds later, Dabo snapped into a challenge and burst forward, striking inches wide of the post.

The Canaries added a third, ten minutes from time, when Kieran Dowell powered into the box to slot home past Ben Wilson.

Wilson stood tall moments later to deny a forth for Norwich, pulling off a brave save against Onel Hernandez, but the Sky Blues ultimately fell short of taking any points away from Carrow Road.
