PREVIEW: Coventry City v Forest Green Rovers - The Sky Blues host Rovers at the Ricoh

Mark Robins' side look to bounce back immediately at the Ricoh...

17 October 2017

Venue: The Ricoh Arena

Competition: SkyBet League Two

Date: Saturday 17th October, 2017

Kick-off: 7.45pm

The Sky Blues will be looking to bounce back quickly from the weekend's 1-0 defeat to Accrington Stanley when they welcome Forest Green Rovers to the Ricoh Arena in SkyBet League Two.

Sean McConville's first half strike secured victory for Stanley at the Wham Stadium but manager Mark Robins has targetted this game as a golden opportunity to get back on track.

Forest Green are 23rd in SkyBet League Two having won just one of the opening 13 games and have only picked up a single point in the last five games.

Rovers boss Mark Cooper took charge at the New Lawn last May with his first game in charge being the 2016 National League Play-Off Final, where his side were defeated Grimsby Town. Twelve months late however and it would be victory at Wembley for Cooper as he led the Green into the Football League for the first time in their history.

The Opponents

Upfront for FGR is former Hartlepool striker Luke James. James scored 13 goals as a teenager during the 2013-14 League Two season earning him a move to Peterbrough United where he struggled to refind his form before moving to the New Lawn in the summer.

England U16 and U17 international, Keanu Marsh-Brown will be another player to keep an eye out for at the Ricoh. The tricky right midfielder scored 10 National League goals from wide areas and provides Rovers with some flair and pace on the wing.

Brother of former Coventry midfielder Isaac, Isiah Osbourne joined Rovers on a one-year deal. The 29-year old made 30 appearances for Aston Villa in the Premier League between 2006 and 2011 and has been a regular in midfield since breaking into the side at the end of last month.
