We are passionate about introducing sport and physical activity into the lives of the younger generation of our community. We do this through the use of multi-sport school provision as well as running a development programme for children to enhance their footballing skills.
The combination of the two sectors allows us to create a local movement of healthier and more active children.
Player Development Centres
Our PDC programme provides an opportunity for young players between the age group of U6-U16 to benefit from advanced football coaching delivered by FA level 2 coaches. The project aims to encourage all players, no matter their ability, to reach their full potential.
In 2018, we have registered over 600 players into our PDC player pathway. We have 23 league teams, plus over 30 team who train weekly. The programme gives children the opportunity to get noticed at a professional level as well as giving less confident/able players the ability to develop. We are proud that over 50 players from PDC have had trials to the Coventry City Academy, with 10 being offered scholarships.
To keep in-line with our quality assurance and professional charity attributes, SBitC employ Sport and Exercise Science graduates to provide fitness testing for all PDC league teams and create a Player Development Pack to support players to reach their full potential.
We offer a FREE taster session to all new players – to find out more take a look at our Player Development Pack HERE

Premier League Primary Stars
We are proud to have delivered the Premier League Flagship programme, Premier League Primary Stars within 50 schools across 2018. The programme is designed to drive high-quality provision of physical education in primary schools across Coventry and Warwickshire.
The programme uses the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills. We encourage children to follow the values of being connected, ambitious, inspiring and fair.
This project focuses on developing and enhancing physical education delivery in primary schools by including teacher CPD within the 12-week block. Long term, teachers feel more confident in delivering the PE curriculum and will, therefore, result in a better experience for children involved in PE lessons.
During 2018, we have worked with over 1,500 pupils on this programme. Schools have commented on the children’s increased participation in sport, improved general behaviour and improved school attendance.
Our aim is to work with as many schools across Coventry and Warwickshire as possible to increase the impact that the project has across the city. To find out more, or to register your school, please contact our Primary Stars Manager on firstname.lastname@example.org.
