Sport

We are passionate about introducing sport and physical activity into the lives of the younger generation of our community. We do this through the use of multi-sport school provision as well as running a development programme for children to enhance their footballing skills.

The combination of the two sectors allows us to create a local movement of healthier and more active children.

Football Development

Player Development Centres

Take a look at the Player Development Centre section of our website here.

Our PDC programme provides an opportunity for young players between the age group of U6-U16 to benefit from advanced football coaching delivered by FA level 2 coaches. The project aims to encourage all players, no matter their ability, to reach their full potential.

In 2021, we have registered over 460 new players into our PDC player pathway. We have 23 league teams, plus over 30 team who train weekly. The programme gives children the opportunity to get noticed at a professional level as well as giving less confident/able players the ability to develop. We are proud that over 50 players from PDC have had trials to the Coventry City Academy, with 10 being offered scholarships.

To keep in-line with our quality assurance and professional charity attributes, SBitC employ Sport and Exercise Science graduates to provide fitness testing for all PDC league teams and create a Player Development Pack to support players to reach their full potential.

We offer a FREE taster session to all new players – to find out more take a look at our Player Development Pack HERE
