Coventry City agreed terms with ex-U’s forward Marvin Sordell on a one-year deal back in June. The forward was Coventry City's second summer signing of 2016.
The ex-Watford and Burnley man, who was a part of the 2012 GB squad, caught the eye of Sky Blues Manager Tony Mowbray after an impressive spell at then-fellow League One side Colchester last season. The forward made 25 appearances, scoring six goals.
Sordell has played in the top flight with both Bolton Wonderers and Burnley, making a total of 17 Premier League appearances and was also a part of the England youth setup at U20s and U21s level.
After a short spell on the injury table at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, Sordell is now playing regular first-team football, but yet to open his scoring account in the West Midlands.
