THE price of Coventry City's match tickets has not risen - despite the fact that VAT has returned to 17.5 per cent.

Stephen Ebanks, head of Arena ticketing, said the club would not impose the rise in the tax on supporters with ten league games still to play at the Ricoh Arena.

He said: "Supporters have got used to the prices of our matchday tickets and we didn't want to start confusing things by adding on the extra VAT.

"Our prices are among the most competitive in the Championship and have been set in such a way to encourage families to come to the Ricoh to cheer on the Sky Blues.

"It would be great if we could see rising gates here between now and the end of the season."

In the JSB Zone, tickets bought in advance of the game are £16 for adults, £6 for JSBs and £10 for concessions. JSBs under seven - as in every area of the ground - are free. A concession or adult must be accompanying at least one child in this area of the stadium.

In other areas of the ground, adult advance prices range from £19 to £28, JSBs from £9 to £15 and concessions from £10 to £20 depending on the zone.
