COVENTRY City Football Club moved to the state-of-the-art Ricoh Arena in the summer of 2005, playing their first ever game there against Queens Park Rangers on August 20. Costing £113 million, the Ricoh Arena is one of the UK's top entertainment, sports and business venues and in 2006 was awarded Confex 2006 Venue of the Year Award - in its first year of operation. DIRECTIONS By Car THE Ricoh Arena is considered one of the easiest venues in the country to reach due to being sat literally next door to the M6 motorway from which you can see the stadium. BY TRAIN Fans travelling to Coventry by train have one of two choices when using public transport from Coventry Train Station to get to the Ricoh Arena, With a taxi rank right outside the train station, fans can take a taxi direct to the Ricoh Arena which will cost approximately £12 or take a taxi to city centre bus station Pool Meadow, costing approximately £6, where they can catch a bus to the stadium. BY BUS You can travel via a number of bus routes around the city to Arena Park Tesco which neighbours the Ricoh Arena and also provides footpath access to the stadium. PARKING All matchday car parking for the Ricoh Arena's A and B car parks works on a pre-book only basis. Please also be aware that there is NO parking available in side streets near the venue. A strict residents' parking scheme will be enforced within 2 kms of the Ricoh Arena as part of the venue's green travel plan.
Bookings will need to be received at least a week in advance of the particular match.
Car Park C at the Ricoh Arena however is available for cash parking on a matchday.
Matchday car parking costs £10 per game or fans can take up the option of a season ticket pass at £216 which covers all of the Sky Blues' league and cup matches.
