Final Furlong
The Sky Blues are through to the final of the Senior Cup after beating Birmingham City 4-3.
A brace from youngster Matthew West and goals from Andrew Whing and Colin Cameron ensured City's place in the final.
The Sky Blues named a strong starting 11 which included Robert Page, Colin Cameron and Khalilou Fadiga.
City began the game brightly and after nine minutes the deadlock was broken when Whing drove the ball home from the edge of the area after good work from West and Fadiga.
Coventry doubled their lead shortly after when Whing's through ball found Cameron who hit a sweetly struck shot past the Birmingham keeper.
Blues pulled a goal back to make the score 2-1 when they were awarded a penalty after Page was adjudged to have pulled a Birmingham shirt in the area and Forssell made no mistake from the spot.
Moments later West latched on to an Andy Gooding through ball and the youngster drilled the ball past Ledzdins from just inside the area.
David McNamee was forced off on 35 minutes when the Scotsman pulled up with a suspected hamstring injury.
City made one change at half-time with the impressive Fadiga being replaced by David Burtoft.
With 61 minutes on the clock, West made the score 4-1 with a fierce low volley from 10 yards out.
The goal spurred Blues into life and Campbell scored twice to set up a tense final 10 minutes for the Sky Blues.
Arran Lee-Barratt denied Birmingham an injury time equaliser when the keeper reacted well to a header from close range.
