Steve Ogrizovic's reserves side beat struggling Oldham Athletic 3 -1 today at Liberty Way.

The Sky Blues took the lead after just three minutes thanks to a goal from Chris Birchall. Lee Hildreth looked like doubling the score before the break but his shot ricocheted off the bar.

City's second came in the 57th minute courtesy of Liam Davis and just four minutes later Wayne Andrews made it three.

With 19 minutes remaining, Oldham's young striker Matthew Wolfenden scored - hinting at a Lactic's fightback. However the goal was to be nothing more than a consolation and the Sky Blues took all three points.
