Posh Stalemate

City's reserves were held to a 1-1 draw with Peterborough this afternoon at the Ryton training ground.
The Sky Blues named a strong line up including Kevin Kyle, Colin Cameron and Kevin Thornton who made a welcome return after suffering ankle ligament damage back in February.
City started the game brightly and after 12 minutes, Cameron floated a free-kick into the penalty area which was met by Leon McKenzie who could only direct his header just wide.
The Sky Blues took the lead on 28 minutes when McKenzie crossed a dangerous low ball into the box and Kyle made no mistake from three yards out.

Six minutes later, Posh equalised after Che Bunce's attempted clearance looped beyond Luke Steele into the back of the net.
The second period of play began with Steve Ogrizovic making a number of changes as City went for a more youthful approach.
Thornton was substituted with five minutes of the match remaining and came through the match unscathed.
Coventry City: Steele (Ireland, 46); Whing (Francis, 46); Turner; Bunce; Jones; Birchall (Robinson, 83); Cameron (Gooding, 46); Thornton (Burgess, 85); Davis; McKenzie (West, 46); Kyle (Burtoft, 65)
