THE Liverpudlian-born full back signed for the Sky Blues on the eve of the 2008/09 season.
Wright, a former England Under-21 international, arrived at the Ricoh Arena in August 2008 to bolster manager Chris Coleman's rearguard.
The 28-year-old started his career at hometown club Liverpool, making 14 appearances for the club between 1997 and 2002, before a successful loan move to Crewe Alexandra.
He also spent six years with Sunderland, making 92 appearances for the Black Cats, before his contract expired in the summer of 2008.
He then spent a number of weeks in pre-season training with the Sky Blues before finally signing a two-year deal with the club the day before Coventry's 2008/09 season opener against Norwich City.
Wright has established himself as a dependable and experienced head in the Coventry back four although his first season at the Ricoh Arena was marginally hampered by injury.
He was handed the captain's armband ahead of the start of the 2009/10 season.
