Josh Ruffels signed professionally for Coventry City in the summer of 2011 after captaining the Academy side.
The central midfielder made his full pro debut for the club against Crystal Palace in August, a game which the Sky Blues lost 2-1. He also came on as a late substitute in the 2-1 FA Cup third round defeat against Southampton to make his home debut.
In May 2012, his deal was extended at the club by manager Andy Thorn.
