THE 18-year-old striker was gradually blooded into the first team during pre-season preparations ahead of the 2009/10 Coca-Cola Championship season.
The Bedford-born hitman, a regular under academy manager Gregor Rioch, even got on the scoresheet for the Sky Blues in their 2-1 pre-season friendly win over Northampton Town at Sixfields.
The youngster was handed a first team squad number prior to the start of the 2009/10 campaign and went on to make four substitute appearances during that campaign, his first coming in the Sky Blues' home Carling Cup first round clash with Hartlepool United in August 2009.
