THE Sky Blues youngster was handed a first-team squad number in April 2009 following an impressive spell with the Coventry City Academy.
The Birmingham-born defender suffered a disappointing start to the Under 18s' 2008/09 campaign after being ruled out for much of the season following a pre-season operation.
But he returned for the twilight of the Academy's season and earned himself a first-team squad place, the sixth member of Gregor Rioch's academy youngsters to be handed a squad number in 2008/09 following in the footsteps of Curtis Wynter, Adam Walker, Ashley Cain, Sean Fraser and first-year apprentice Jordan Clarke.
He made his full debut for the club in the home Carling Cup first round clash with Hartlepool United in August 2009 and has since made four substitute appearances.
