A classy and commanding defender, Liam was spotted playing for Great Barr Falcons in Birmingham and signed a two-year apprenticeship with the Sky Blues at the start of the 2006/07 season.
He emerged as a regular in the Academy side last season and his appearances for Gregor Ricoh's men have only been restricted this season because of his rapid progress in the Reserves.
He has been almost an ever present in City's second-string and his performances were rewarded with a place on the first-team bench for the first time against Millwall in the FA Cup in January.
