Pint-sized Maltese international striker signed from Norwegian outfit Lillestrom in January 2006.
Considered in his homeland as one of the greatest players Malta has ever produced, Michael began his career with Sliema Wanderers.
He quickly earned a move to Europe with German side Kaiserslautern, but found first-team opportunities hard to come by and moved to Lillestrom in between a short spell back at Sliema.
After bagging 11 goals in just 19 games for his new club, he was voted as Norway's best foreign player in 2006, and Lillestrom rejected a bid for his services from the Sky Blues during the summer.
However, once his contract expired in January 2007, he penned a two-year deal at the Ricoh Arena and instantly endeared himself to the City faithful by bagging four goals - one of which scooped Goal of the Season - before the end of the campaign.
He continued to hit the headlines for all the right reasons in 2007/08, hitting a double to sink Manchester United in the Carling Cup and bagging 13 goals for the season before Christmas.
