Hard-working and energetic, the Irishman has been ever present in the Sky Blues first team regardless of manager, all of whom have tended to make Doyle one of the first names on the team sheet.
His early performances at the Club were rewarded the 2003/04 Young Player of the Year award and he signed a new contract in the summer of 2007 to dispel any fears of a move away.
Doyle has also showcased his ability to play through the pain barrier, continually making himself available for selection towards the end of the 2007/08 season despite being in need of ankle and hernia operations.
Doyle was no different in 2008/09, with manager Coleman ensuring he was a mainstay in his matchday squad.
