A SKILLFUL right-back who signed a three-year deal with City during the summer of 2006 in a deal valued at £100,000.
David joined from Scottish Premier League outfit Livingston, where he had made over 100 appearances in four years.
He began his career with St Mirren before spending three seasons at Blackburn Rovers and he returned to St Mirren, this time on loan, before signing for Livingston in 2002.
A current Scottish international, David has four caps for his country and first appeared under former manager Berti Vogts in May 2004 before being called up by Walter Smith for the Kirin Cup in May 2006.
Injuries throughout 2006/07 restricted him to just 16 appearances, although he still managed to make a notable impression.
But despite looking a class act from October until December, he was again dogged with hamstring problems which halted his progress during the 2007/08 campaign.
