COVENTRY City defender Ben Turner says the Sky Blues have been working hard to iron out the kinks they experienced at Vicarage Road last weekend ahead of Saturday's home clash with Derby County.
The big centre-half said he was looking to revert back to the kind of form that helped City pick up their 2-0 opening day win over Portsmouth at the Ricoh to keep their unbeaten league run going.
"Compared to our performance against Portsmouth, we were well below par against Watford but we've been working hard on the training pitch to put things right," he said.
"Four points from the first six is a good start though and we want to replicate the kind of display we put on against Portsmouth for the Derby game because we had a good shape about us and we got a good result at the end of it."
Turner also said he was pleased with his own start to the 2010/11 league campaign, starting both opening fixtures alongside fellow academy graduate Nathan Cameron.
"It's been good to start the first two games because it has given me a platform to build on and improve as the season goes on.
"As for Nathan, everything he has achieved and earned so far has been on merit and it's been really good playing with him."
