FREE: Boothroyd wants to create memories

Posted on: Thu 12 Aug 2010

WHILE Coventry City boss Aidy Boothroyd says he looks fondly of his time as manager of Watford, he wants to create some new memories during his tenure with the Sky Blues.

Boothroyd returns to his old club for Saturday's Championship clash between City and the Hornets at Vicarage Road but he said his mind would be firmly set on trying to steer the Sky Blues to another three points.

"Watford is one of my old clubs and yes I have fond memories of my time there but I'm Coventry City manager now and I want to create some new memories here," he said.

"We need to get some games on the board but last Saturday we kept a good clean shett against a very good team and if we can keep doing the clean sheet thing and score some goals at the same time then I think we have a good chance of being successful this year.

"Despite what people have said about Watford in the past few weeks about them being candidates for this and that, I know they will be a tough team and they will be difficult to crack.

"The like to play good football on the counter attack and they are a quick side but we know where they are dangerous so we just have to stay focused on doing our jobs."
