OVERVIEW
PORTSMOUTH have had somewhat of a tumultuous pre-season on and off the pitch.
Pompey's financial troubles have been well documented throughout the summer, an issue which recently came to a head in the High Court in their favour to secure the short-term future of the club.
The club's money issues though have spilled into the first team squad list with number of players leaving Fratton Park.
Newly appointed Portsmouth boss Steve Cotterill brings a 15-man squad to the Ricoh Arena barring any last minute incomings or outgoings although the club have maintained enough strength in depth in their squad to pick up a 1-0 win over last season's Europa League finalists Fulham in their final friendly clash of pre-season.
HEAD TO HEAD
COVENTRY City actually have the edge in all time meetings between the two clubs, having won 11 of 25 clashes with Pompey winning nine and five ending in draws since 1910 when their first ever meeting was in the FA Cup.

LAST GAME
Portsmouth 1 Fulham 0

PORTSMOUTH ended their run of seven pre-season games with a 1-0 win over Fulham at Fratton Park.
Club stalwart Linvoy Primus gave Pompey fans a 12-minute cameo as part of the celebrations to name stand after him before he was replaced by Nwanko Kanu.
Marc Wilson netted the only goal of the game with a header just after half an hour to make it three wins, three defeats and a draw from their seven pre-season fixtures.
INJURIES AND BANS
Coventry City will be without Gary Deegan (ankle) and Isaac Osbourne (knee) while Aron Gunnarsson are both doubts with back problems.
Portsmouth could start Aaron Mokoena and Hayden Mullins after Mokoena resumed training on Monday while Mullins postponed a knee injection until after the Saturday clash with the Sky Blues.
